Who doesn’t love a parade? That’s me in the mid 80’s. SPLOOIE!
WHO AM I?
I believe in creativity and new insights when approaching work, and my objectives are to learn something new everyday, work where all employees are valued equally, and try to remain open-minded to new ideas and challenges as positive experiences to learn and grow from.
I like to constantly learn new things. I am a handyman at home, love working in my yard, I love soundtrack music and anything Disney and Marvel. I am also an INVENTOR and have a couple Patents. I was a Professor for 6 years and I live vicariously through my students who have gone onto work for Disney, LucasFilm and PIXAR studios. I suppose I will remain always a teacher, a mentor and a lifelong fan. I am an AUTHOR and about to publish my first novel, The Clef Hanger. Watch for it!
As an Instructional Designer, I love to determine modalities that work best and how I can put a creative flare to the rather mundane when I assess a project or do an analysis. I prefer the ADDIE method but also like to use JIRA because I am also an Engineer at heart. I am a Design Thinker and Garage method developer at heart. My end audience is what is most important and determining their gaps and the objectives I will meet for them to solve those is exciting to me. So, the Engagement/ Result part of the Kirkpatrick model is my favorite step and I feel the most important. That’s how I find my objectives.
Lastly, I am a Cavalier. Not just cavalier in my attitude, but in how I approach character and what I feel is right for the benefit of all and how I go about getting it done. Yes, I was a marching God, but I am a wild duck and disrupt-er. It’s why I say the impossible just takes a bit longer. I truly believe anything can be done.
